Fred Young joined Diversified Search Ray & Berndtson in early 2008 as Managing Director and Practice Leader of the Information Technology practice. His team focuses on assisting clients strategically develop their global organizations while recognizing the need to operate successfully on a day-to-day basis.
With 30 years in senior management and Board level roles, Fred has real experience in strategic and implementation planning. This included formulating global business strategies, building out global operations in support of such strategies, developing and implementing cross-functional quality systems, and delivering a range of associated services. Throughout his career he has also completed over 100 M&A transactions around the globe for both private and public companies.
Fred started his career with General Electric and IBM. He also was part of two General Electric technology spin-outs that were sold to private equity owners. His most recent position was as CEO of Black Box Corporation, where he led a highly successful business transformation and expansion strategy.
