Eric Slankis

With more than a decade of executive search experience, Eric brings a broad base of knowledge and a strong client-first focus to Ray & Berndtson’s Environment & Sustainability, Healthcare, Not-For-Profit, and Education Practices.

As Practice Leader for Ray & Berndtson’s emerging Environment & Sustainability Practice, Eric was a featured speaker at the inaugural ECO Conference, 2006, and has worked with a number of key organizations in building leadership capacity in the sector.

He has recruited senior executives for Ontario’s leading healthcare providers (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Champlain Community Care Access Centre, Eastern Ontario Health Unit, and Ontario’s LHINs), Canadian industry associations (Canadian Electricity Association, Canadian Gas Association) and other member organizations such as the Canadian Nurses Association and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). Over half of the searches in which he has been involved have been at the CEO level.

Committed to building a broader understanding of leadership issues in changing sectors, Eric has authored a number of articles including “Leadership in Community Hospitals - Characteristics of a Successful CEO” and “Sustainable Thinking, Sustainable Leadership - The New E.Q.”

An active outdoorsman and cottager in the Muskoka Lake-of-Bays region, Eric holds a political science degree from York University.
