Juan Enrique Ranftl

Juan Ranftl is a Director in the Buenos Aires office of Ray & Berndtson. He specialises in Financial Services, especially in the venture capital field as well as in Consumer Products & Services. His functional expertise includes identifying and recruiting chief financial officers.

He has built an extensive knowledge base and network in the business community with a perspective on the changes occurring in the region. Juan was previously general manager for Warner Lambert operations in Brazil - Ethical and OTC products - as well as Uruguay - Chiclets Adams. Later he joined Fleishman Argentina as general manager (Royal Products, now Nabisco) with responsibilities for Uruguay and as team leader for the acquisition of Aurora/Chile, the company's primary competitor. Ultimately, Juan joined the Robert's Bank (today HSBC) as managing director for their venture capital fund. Juan holds a doctorate in economics and speaks Spanish, English, German and Portuguese fluently.
