Penny Mirams

Penny has had 20 years of business experience working in a variety of industries, the last twelve of which have been spent in an executive search consulting capacity. Penny has been with Ray & Berndtson since July 2004 and, as a Principal, holds a dual role within the firm: managing client mandates and executing on searches mainly in the healthcare and not-for-profit sectors, and managing a large search delivery group of Consultants and Researchers.  Her clients include health centres (both clinical and non-clinical roles), foundations, associations, as well as government and quasi-government organizations. Prior to joining Ray & Berndtson, she was a freelance consultant in executive search delivery and provided a full-range of services, such as target industry research and identification, candidate development and assessment and search execution at senior levels across a variety of industry verticals.  

In addition, Penny has worked as a consultant in outplacement, providing counseling and mentoring services to senior executives in transition. Her experience covers all functional areas in a broad range of industries such as health care, academia, not-for-profit & public sector, financial services, manufacturing, retail, professional services/consulting and technology products and services.

Penny has a proven ability to very quickly develop a “needs analysis” on projects and familiarize herself with target industries. This means that she is able to deliver very thorough research and conduct an extensive market search on behalf of her clients. Her years in consulting have helped her to establish a large network of colleagues and contacts to assist her in recruiting well-qualified candidates
