Edna Li

Edna Li is a Principal with Odgers Ray & Berndtson and leads the firm’s Beijing office. She focuses on searches in the Business & Professional Services field and in particular legal executives.

Before joining Odgers Ray & Berndtson Edna enjoyed a successful career as a lawyer in Germany and China. Her most recent role was with Haarmann Hemmelrath & Partners in Shanghai where she focused on Corporate and Commercial Chinese Law.

Before moving to China she was with Bender Zahn Tigges, in Germany as an Associate Lawyer specialising in Banking, Real Estate and Litigation.

She started her career in publishing with Deutscher Anwaltverlag, a German legal  Publishing House.

Edna studied economic law in Beijing University in the late 80s and graduated in law from Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms Universitat in Bonn, Germany in 1995. She was admitted to the bar in Dusseldorf in 1997.

A German national, Edna speaks fluent English, German and Chinese and has lived and worked in China for 10 years.
