Gillian Lansdowne

Gillian Lansdowne is the Partner & Practice Leader for the Financial Services and Real Estate sectors.  Prior to joining the Ray & Berndtson team, Gillian was the Founder and Managing Partner of Stanton Chase International’s Toronto office.

Gillian brings extensive experience in Financial Services, Real Estate, and Professional Services. Her Financial Services experience includes personal and commercial banking, corporate and investment banking, capital markets, investment management, and insurance.  Real Estate experience includes acquisitions and dispositions, asset management, development, property management, leasing, and real estate advisory.  Professional Services experience includes senior level assignments within business consulting, financial advisory services, taxation and assurance.  Within these sectors, Gillian has also conducted many Corporate Services assignments such as corporate development, taxation, treasury, financial planning, risk management, accounting and control, audit, and human resources.

Prior to her career in Executive Search in Toronto, Gillian spent two years in South Africa as a Principal with Renwick International, a leading search firm.  She led senior assignments for clients within the Financial Services, Real Estate, Consumer Products, Pharmaceuticals, and Manufacturing sectors.

Gillian is the author of an article entitled ‘The New Reality’, which she wrote to assist her clients in understanding the demographic shifts, and how to attract and retain the multi-generational work force.  She developed a North American survey on the subject, and has been a guest speaker at several events, including REALpac and the Women & Leadership summit.

Gillian is an active member of the Worldwide Entrepreneur Organization, and is a member of the HRPAO.  She is actively involved in various charities and serves on the Board of a local day school, where she is the Chair of the Board Development & Governance Committee.
