Edie Fraser is Managing Director and Chair of the Diversity Practice at Diversified Search Ray & Berndtson. She brings to her role over four decades of experience in supporting diversity at the most senior levels of corporations, organizations and government in the U.S. and globally. She is devoted to the advancement of minorities and women, and has worked with more than 100 CEOs to develop and implement strategic talent plans and programs.
Prior to joining Diversified, Edie was Founder and CEO of Diversity Best Practices (DBP), a member service for diversity practitioners where she designed the CEO Diversity Leadership program, including the prestigious CEO Diversity Awards. She was publisher of the CEO Magazine, The Diversity Primer and The Diversity Officer. Other significant publications include College Enrollment and the WOW! Facts series, which are demographic resources filled with data. Edie is also the founder of the Business Women's Network (BWN), which offers memberships, a clearinghouse and a network for business with the focus on entrepreneurial growth. She has served as publisher of major recognized resources including The Directory of Women’s Associations and is the author of the book Risk to Riches: Women’s Entrepreneurship in America.
In addition, Edie founded Best Practices in Corporate Communications (BPCC) and is former President of a PR agency, where she won the highest award possible in the field or communications, the Silver Anvil, for a specialized international campaign on US and Japan communications and trade promotion. She has served as the Chair of the Public Affairs Section and the Government Affairs Section of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Early in her career, she was Director of Health Communications Planning for the Federal Government and Consumer Director for a global public relations firm. She also served for several years as an African Desk Officer for years at the Peace Corps.
