Xinhua Dang

Xinhua Dang is a Founding Partner and Senior Advisor with Odgers Ray & Berndtson, China and leads the firm’s Board Practice and work with Chinese companies. He has over thirteen years experience in executive search in Greater China and was one of the first Chinese nationals to enter the executive search business in 1994. During this time he has successfully completed searches for numerous multinational and domestic firms looking to hire senior leaders on the mainland including CEO’s, COO’s, CFO’s, Country Managers, Vice President’s and numerous functional heads including Finance, Human Resources, Logistics, Operations and Information Technology.

Prior to joining Odgers Ray and Berndtson, Xinhua was with Russell Reynolds Associates for over eight years, where he established and led their China business.

Earlier he worked in New York with the Equitable Company and later as a consultant to both the U.S. pay television industry and a number of multinational companies, looking to expand their business in China. He started his career in China with the official Xinhua News Agency in Beijing, where his responsibilities included liaising between Chinese government institutions and all major U.S. newspapers and wire services.

He is also currently Advisor to the United States Business Council for Sustainable Development in their activities in China.

He received his undergraduate degree from Hunan University and his Masters in International Business from Columbia University.
