Ross joined our Ottawa office after more than 30 years in the military, academe, industry and government. His extensive management experience and superb interpersonal skills have made him an invaluable member of our search team. His deep knowledge of both the private and public sectors and a wide variety of business environments has given him a unique perspective on the needs of our clients, and on the ability of senior executives to transition from one field to another.
Ross began his career as a fighter pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He rose to the rank of Colonel and held high-profile posts including President and Vice Chancellor of Royal Roads Military College, Director of Air Requirements for the Department of National Defence, and Air Attaché to the United States of America.
In the mid 1990's, Ross joined the private sector as a marketing executive at Bombardier Inc. He also served as a consultant on major technology projects for public and private sector clients such as the Treasury Board of Canada, the US Food and Drug Administration and Rogers AT&T Wireless. In 2000, he began serving a multi-year term as an advisor to the Queen's University Centre for Enterprise Development.
Ross is fluently bilingual, holds a Master's degree from Canada's Royal Military College, is a published author and a licensed professional engineer. He was decorated for serving Canada with distinction during the height of the Cold War.
