Cynthia P. Barth

Cynthia P. Barth is a Managing Director for Diversified Search Ray & Berndtson in Philadelphia. Her practice encompasses searches for emerging and senior leadership positions for executives and physicians in sectors of the health care industry including multi-institutional systems; academic medical centers; teaching and community hospitals; integrated delivery systems; managed care organizations; and long term care providers.

Cynthia has extensive experience in working with search committees to identify accountabilities, to assess candidates against those accountabilities, and to facilitate and discipline the recruitment process. Cynthia joined Diversified in 1997, bringing over 14 years experience in retained search in the healthcare industry.

Previously she had been Vice President and Principal of Longshore + Simmons, a regional executive healthcare search and consulting firm. She was a leader in the development of that firm's physician executive search practice as well as in the development of a healthcare compensation consulting practice, focused on non-university teaching hospitals. From 1974 until 1980, Ms. Barth held a faculty appointment at Hahnemann Medical College in physiology and biophysics.

Cynthia holds a BA in biology from Bryn Mawr College and an MBA in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
